Finely I found time to write a little : lots of thing happening: have been to Jondaryan Woolshed Heritage Festival and had great time with old friends as well making new ones.
It was very cold for few days-specialy nights and mornings and then weather got better.Didn't stay whole fesstival-babysiting my beautiful grandkids-that was fun for 5 days-parents had a bussines trip.

OHHHHHH,I am so angry-stupid machine at Big W erased my card when I was developing some photos-usually I always check to make sure that don't happened but I don't know what I did,not happy at all.I'll have to take new photos of finished scarf and hat .Luckily,I only had small numbers of photo on this card.

About time to finish what I started -had one order for neckles and earrings -finished-have to send it to my buyer.Felted a few thing like 2 small bags at Ekka ,finished one with nice embellishment -seed beads-have to do second,but time is so short and so much to do.

HAT....

We had great time overseas and were happy to be back.So much to do ,don't know where to start.Had all day at EKKA demonstrating felting.Bought show bags for everybody including me.Since I came back from the holidays I did a bit of felting,I really love it.

BACK HOME

AFTER 3 MONTHS IN EUROPE ,WE ARE BACK HOME.WE HAD GREAT TIME VISITNG DIFERENT PLACES AND MEETING FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHICH DIDN'T SEE FOR 10 YEARS AND SOME OF THEM FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS.

IN CROATIA WE WENT TO FEW FESTIVALS AND OTHER EVENTS,VERY EXITING,WHERE WAS A LOTS OF OLD TRADITIONAL HANDCRAFTS.WILL POST SOME PHOTOS.

Felting is going well so far,I am having a great time and other members of the group are very helpful .Last Thursday I decided to try and make a scarf,start with it and needed a help.It is nice when you know that people want to help you.I didn't take any photos till scarf was finished.
I am happy with it.

Storm..

I've been finishing my felt pieces slowly,all this flood which didn't affect us direct but I believe that did affect everybody,especially in Queensland.My daughter and her hubby helped cleaning up their friends and I did babysitting.Today I went to our Community centre and helped with food parcels.It is very hard to have fun with my hobby when all this is going on.

And today this storm: it was unreal.wind and rain going in all different directions.Wind lifted up our shed,it was crazy.

This is what I finished.Made felt for my granddaughters toy horse blanket,she helped.

CHRISTMAS is over and I am going to do more felting in near future.I want to update on my work,here are finished products of my last felting:

I made this little purse and decorated with small perls.I am trying to upload another photo but something is not working,I don't know what.

I am learning what to do,went to get some books but not much on that on library,only 2 books.I'll have to buy some .I made one soap and tried to make a piece with some silk tread,It did come out not to bad.
started to do some needle felting and I like it.Have to find supplier for material,Spotlight has very little .

Next time I'll have more new things,I hope so!!

Felting

Well,I finally did it!!!!I've join QSWFA today and made my first felted piece,nothing great but I am proud of  what I did.I had lovely day with members ,all of them were very helpful and made me welcome to their company.Need to buy some thing and than I can start doing it at home.I can't wait to see some of my ideas done.

THIS IS THAT SKIRT

My other aunty was dressmaker and she was teaching me how to sew-when I was 11 year old I made my first skirt and I have a photo of me in that skirt,it was easy-piece of fabric with elastic in wast line.But I make myself on machine was very proud of myself.And I continue to sew,like when I was 15 years old I made me a dress -handsewing and than my Mum bought sewing machine-tredlle .I was so happy and I was teaching mu Mum all I knew about sewing machines.I was making a lots of clothes in next few years and earning pocket money sewing for my school friends.

My First blog

It is about time that i start to write my blog.Well,I'll start with m first passionate: sewing.
As far as I remember I loved sewing.My oldest memory is when I was about 5 years old:
my parents both worked and with my grandma not longer around I was looked after by my auntie, neighbours and other relatives.My auntie Ina would make me a doll from fire wood(in late fifties wasn't a lots of dolls in shop in my country so we had to do with makeshifts)and I was happy with it.One day she gave me some fabric and doll and left me in the room to play while  she cooked dinner.She came to check on me and find me crying.
I told her that I've lost sewing needle and I was very upset.She found it on the floor and gave back to me with a kiss.

As you can see I was sewing mad at that age and still I like to make things.I made this skirt,belt ,mu hubbies tail coat and west .This is at Heritage Festival at Jondaryan Woolshed ,Jondaryan,Queensland,Australia.
